Escape Travels

Escape Travels is borne out of a true love for travel. From hiking the mountains of Nepal, to sailing the Mediterranean waters, Escape Travels offers unique and innovative travel itineraries for those looking for something more than the typical weekend trip.

Escape Travels satisfies every traveler's needs, organizing simple overnight retreats to week-long adventures. All of our trips are done in a group settings, making us the leader in the GCC travel community by providing true group budget getaways.

The Travelers

The vast majority of travelers work and live in the GCC region (UAE, Qatar and Kuwait). Our trips are specifically tailored and are based around national and religious holidays of the region. This means you travel more, without tapping into your limited leave days!

Our groups are as diverse as the countries we visit. The travelers age ranges from 6 to 60.  As for the nationalities, a typical Escape Travels group of 25 will have no less than 10 different countries represented in it! We pride ourselves on our diversity. A pure love of travel, adventure and a desire to meet other like minded people is what unites us!

The Founder

Fajer has spent years traveling around the world. From living in a tent in Canada’s Arctic to exploring the jungles and mountains of Latin America; travel has always been a passion. In late 2009 after having motorcycled across the Indian subcontinent Fajer moved to Dubai to work in logistics with a local freight forwarding firm. It wasn’t long before he started searching for his next voyage. 

In the summer of 2010, he set sail from Crete, Greece to Sardinia, Italy. Weeks were spent out at sea navigating from Greece’s magical southern islands, to finally reaching the shores of Sardinia, Italy. 

While at sea, Fajer came up with the concept of Escape Travels. The organization was initially nothing more than a hobby. Escape Travels, at the time known as Escape Dubai, was a social organization for people that live in the UAE and share the love of travel. Using social media websites such as meetup and facebook, Escape Dubai became very popular with the months to follow. Organizing trips to 12 different countries in 3 different continents within a year.

It was clear that Escape hit a chord with the UAE’s traveling community. Not long after receiving his Master’s degree in logistics, Fajer quit his job to pursue his real love of travel, adventure and sailing.

Today Escape Travels is leading the region in their group travel concept.  Hundreds of friendships have been formed on Escape trips. With a personalized service and a focus on keeping costs low, traveling with Escape has never been more popular or accessible.
